Hi James,
I believe a similar question was already asked earlier, just scroll up a bit to read previous comments. Good luck!
I would love to get PC china, but it seems that all the volunteers are teaching English at the university level–or at least the ones that I’ve come across.
My understanding is that this requires a masters degree in English (specifically). So, my question is then, “does anyone ‘get’ China w/o having a masters degree in English?”
Anecdotal evidence would be appreciated, especially if you know of more than one person.
I will be graduating in December 2010 with a degree in history and minor in religious studies, with a heavy focus on Chinese history and culture. Upon graduation I will also have had two years of Chinese language. My question is, what type of volunteer work should I do to increase my chances of getting into the peace corps the following year, and more specifically, China? What types of volunteer type work have other Peace Corps volunteers in China had before being accepting?
Thank you
“As always, Super ob′ëmnaâ article and as always just read” is the comment from UlceseBeent, also in Russian.
Are you reading in English or Russian?
You wrote “thanks, I wonder” in Russian? I used my translator. Where do you live?
